Welcome to Peaceful Pathways
Hi! I am Tracey, a COSCA registered and fully insured Pluralistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Pluralistic counselling is a collaborative, integrative perspective drawing from theories such as person centred counselling, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy. I can tailor make therapy to suit your individual needs as people need different things at different times. Please see further down this page on how the three main counselling modalities can be incorporated into therapy and what they aim to achieve.
I offer a confidential, warm and welcoming safe space for personal growth and healing where you will be accepted and never judged. It is your journey and will be at your own pace. At Peaceful Pathways everyone is welcome as I encourage a diverse range of clients and offer an inclusive environment. I am committed to helping you find the peace and clarity you need to navigate life's pathways.
I offer face to face counselling in the heart of Inverurie or online on a video platform from the comfort of your own home. A free initial 15-20 consultation is offered either on the phone or by video call. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and have a chat about why you would like to come for counselling and how I could potentially support you with your issues.
Sessions are 60 minutes and cost £45. Please ask for concession rates for low income, unemployed, students and OAP's.
Asking for help can be very difficult. No matter what you are going through right now I am here to help. Please reach out and make that first step.
Please see my contact page for details on how to get in touch.
Person Centred Counselling
The approach works to understand an individual's experience from their perspective. The therapist values the whole person while being open and genuine. A person centred approach will help you feel accepted and better able to understand your feelings.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on unconscious processes as they are manifested in the client's behaviour. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are for the client to achieve self awareness and understanding the influence of the past on the future.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. You're shown how to change negative patterns to improve the way you feel. CBT often focuses on your current problems rather than the past.
